2006 Gretsch Billy-Bo in near mint condition with original case and case candy.
The Billy Bo is a uniquely designed, all around rock n roll guitar first created by the late, great Bo Diddley back in 1959. Bo's guitar was later donated as a gift to ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons who used it on some recordings. Since Gibbons did not want to risk subjecting the rare guitar to touring and live performances, he approached Gretsch with the idea of reproducing the Jupiter Thunderbird. The end result was the G6199 "Billy-Bo" Jupiter Thunderbird.
Built in the Terada factory in Japan, it features a maple body, maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl ‘thumbnail’ position markers. 24.6 inch scale length and 1.6875 inch nut width.
The pickups are original TV Jones, Grover Sta-tite machine heads and G-cutout tailpiece.
