This 2015 example was built by the Gibson Custom Shop and features a solid carved spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and a one-piece mahogany neck. The 16\" Florentine-cutaway body makes for a very comfortable playing experience, while the 24 3\/4\" scale length and rounded neck profile give the guitar an easy, relaxed feel. Tonally, the carved spruce top and mahogany body produce a warm, open and naturally resonant acoustic voice, with plenty of clarity and definition when amplified.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eElectronics are provided by a pair of Gibson ’57 Classic humbuckers, delivering the smooth, articulate response that makes the L-4 CES particularly well suited to jazz, chord melody and clean playing.
