The distinctive K-shaped body is constructed from solid Sitka spruce and maple, with an ebony fingerboard, oval soundhole and Breedlove’s characteristic suspended fingerboard extension. The KO has a more open, rounded voice than a traditional F-style mandolin, with plenty of volume, sustain and a slightly mellower character.
