Here we have a super rare (and ultra cool) resonator guitar from Montana-based luthier Larry Pogreba.
Pogreba builds resonator guitars, Weissenborns and acoustics that often feature recycled / reclaimed metal, bullet casings for inlays and all sorts of other adornments that harken to American steel and the Wild West. His instruments have landed in the hands of Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Jerry Douglas, David Lindley, Cindy Cashdollar, Ken Mo and others.
It's an aluminium bodied, single cone resonator guitar hand welded and hammered to shape. One of the coolest features of this unique is the 1950's Oldsmobile hubcap resonator cover. The secret of this instrument is the light weight aluminium body. The tone is unique with a nice mid-range punch.
Currently set for both slide and fingerstyle playing.
Comes with a Tacoma branded hardshell case.
