The Eastman T486 Thinline Semi‑Hollow electric guitar is designed in the style of classic double-cutaway instruments like the ES-335. It features a laminated flamed maple body with a solid centre block, which helps reduce feedback while maintaining the warm, resonant tone typical of semi-hollow guitars. The guitar has a maple neck with a comfortable “Even C” profile and a smooth ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and a 12-inch radius, making it easy to play for both rhythm and lead styles. It is equipped with a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers—a Jazz pickup in the neck and a ’59 in the bridge—providing a wide range of tones from warm, clean jazz sounds to rich blues and rock overdrive. High-quality hardware such as a Gotoh bridge and tailpiece, along with a bone nut and CTS electronics, contribute to its tuning stability and overall reliability. Overall, the T486 is known for offering professional-level build quality and versatile tone at a more affordable price compared with many similar semi-hollow guitars.
