The SJ or ‘small jumbo’ is the largest of Elysian models at just under 16”. Full-bodied without being ungainly, it delivers a warm, well-rounded tone and plenty of headroom with power and clarity in the bass. Handling flat picking or fingerstyle duties with equal aplomb, its versatility makes it a great choice for the player whose repertoire covers a range of styles.
Few woods are better suited to a polished oil finish than Walnut – the dark and wonderfully resonant redwood top used here matches it perfectly. The body shape of this lovely E-Custom SJ is tweaked so the bridge sits laterally at the widest point of the lower bout, optimising volume and resulting in an instrument of great richness, warmth and character.
