1966 Gibson Johnny Smith with original Lifton case
A rare opportunity to acquire one of Gibson’s most refined and sought after archtops - a 1966 Gibson Johnny Smith, crafted in Gibson’s famed Kalamazoo factory during the company’s golden era. This exceptional instrument embodies the collaboration between Gibson and jazz virtuoso Johnny Smith, combining exquisite acoustic response with elegant, understated electronics.
Excellent overall for its age. The finish displays some finish checking consistent with age. A few scratches as you'd expect from a guitar that has been played over the years. The gold hardware shows some tarnishing and wear. All original except for a replacement celluloid pickguard.
