1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom
A particularly fine example of a 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom, finished in the less commonly seen Cherry Sunburst. Remarkably well preserved for a guitar now over 50 years old, this is an exceptionally clean example with very little cosmetic wear. Owned by the same owner from new, this guitar remains all original, including its original Gibson 'Patent No.' sticker humbuckers, period electronics and hard case.
There is a very fine hairline crack to the neck which has been professionally inspected and stabilised by Rob Wells of Knight Guitars. The crack had not opened or displaced and remains completely stable. The area has been carefully repaired and lightly re-coated in nitrocellulose lacquer, leaving the repair virtually imperceptible to the touch, with no "stinger" or visible refinishing to the back of the headstock.
A very appealing early-'70s Les Paul Custom with excellent one-owner provenance and a great deal of character.
