1979 Ibanez GB20 George Benson Model (Pre-owned)
The GB20 was Ibanez's first hollow body artist signature guitar along with it's smaller sibling, the GB10. It features a large, single cutaway, full hollow body design with an arched spruce top and an arched birdseye maple back and sides, set-in three-piece maple neck with a large headstock and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and pearl/acrylic and abalone split block position markers. It has a single Ibanez GB Special Johnny Smith style floating pickup at the neck with a single master volume.
This particular instrument is in very good used condition with honest signs of age and play. It remains all-original, including the hardware, electronics, and signature GB pickup.
The pickguard shows wear - its binding has come off and there is a small break in the material by the screw. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the guitar’s functionality.
It comes complete with its original hardshell case, which still offers protection for the instrument, though some of the hinges have failed and the lid now requires a belt to keep it securely closed.
