1988 Ibanez JEM777-DY Desert Sun Yellow
Up for sale is this classic Ibanez JEM777-DY, one of the most iconic guitars to come out of the golden era of shred. Designed in collaboration with Steve Vai and produced by Ibanez, the original JEM777 models have become highly sought-after by players and collectors alike. Finished in the unmistakable Desert Sun Yellow, this guitar absolutely screams 1980s excess and remains one of the most visually striking signature guitars ever produced.
Condition-wise, this is very much a player’s vintage instrument rather than a case queen. There are plenty of honest signs of use including marks, bumps, and some finish checking, but nothing structural. The top E fine tuner differs from the other five, otherwise the guitar appears largely original.
Early JEM777s are now approaching 40 years old and are becoming increasingly collectible, especially original examples like this. A fantastic opportunity to own a true piece of shred history.
Comes with non-original hard case pictured.
