1930's Cromwell G4 Archtop Guitar by Gibson
Gibson produced guitars under several brand names like Kalamazoo and Cromwell, to help fill out their production capacity during the lean years of the depression. These guitars were similar to Gibson models, but built using lighter construction and less costly processes including pressed, rather than carved tops and backs.
This 1930's Cromwell G-4 is a fine example of an American pre-war archtop, offering plenty of vintage character at an accessible price point. With its pressed spruce top, maple body and distinctive sunburst finish, it has all the visual appeal of the era, while delivering the dry, woody tone that makes these early archtops so enjoyable to play.
It's in very good condition overall for its age. No cracks or visible repairs.
Has some fret wear but doesn't affect playability. It has a great lively and full sound. The neck has the traditional prewar full "V" profile (no truss rod).
Comes with a modern hardshell case.
