1963 Epiphone E230T Casino - Royal Tan
This 1963 Epiphone Casino E230T is an exceptionally clean and original example of one of the most iconic hollow-body electrics ever produced. Built in Gibson's Kalamazoo factory during the golden era, the Casino shares its DNA with the ES-330T and has that loverly resonance, woody warmth and unmistakable P-90 bite.
Finished in its original Royal Tan, it has survived remarkably well. The finish remains very clean with only light signs of honest playwear and subtle lacquer checking throughout while the hardware, plastics and appointments all show the kind of gentle ageing you'd hope to find on a well-preserved vintage instrument.
The original dog-ear P-90 sounds every bit as good as you'd expect. Clean tones are rich and articulate, while turning up the gain brings out the raw snarl that made these guitars famous. The dark rosewood fingerboard is particularly attractive and complements the rich Royal Tan finish beautifully.
Whether you're a collector looking for a clean early Kalamazoo Epiphone or a player searching for that elusive vintage Casino sound, this is a guitar that delivers on both fronts.
