2009 Callaham S Model - Shoreline Gold (Pre-owned)
A particularly fine example of the highly regarded Callaham S-Model, handmade in Virginia by Bill Callaham. Built with an alder body, one-piece maple neck featuring Callaham’s ’58 Soft V profile and rosewood fingerboard, this example is finished in a nitrocellulose lacquer with natural lacquer checking.
The guitar retains its original Callaham hand-wound single-coil pickups, Callaham tremolo bridge and 1-ply parchment pickguard. It comes complete with its original G&G tweed hard case.
Callaham guitars were entirely hand-built using traditional methods, with the necks and bodies shaped by hand. Production of complete guitars ceased in 2014, making genuine Callaham instruments increasingly uncommon.
This particular guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with only a few light surface scratches here and there. There are no significant dings, marks or other notable signs of wear to the body or neck. The finish also features natural lacquer checking as part of the original aged finish.
