Here we have an exceptionally fine hand crafted instrument from Mike Vanden. Based in Argyll, Scotland, Mike has been making archtop and mandolins since 1979. Though perhaps not a household name, he's without a doubt, a world class luthier.
The Rialto is Vanden's take on the early Gibson L5 archtops. Simple and classy in design, this guitar oozes quality. The body width at the lower bout is 412mm (16.2″), side depth over bindings is 86mm, with a scale length of 632mm and nut width of 44mm. The x-braced soundboard is from a fine piece of European spruce, and the back, neck, and sides are from matching flamed sycamore.
Condition is excellent
